Name: Puu Pia Trail (Beginner Hike)

We will start and meet at the Puu Pia/Kolowalu trailhead at 3640 Alani Drive at 9:15 am. Puu Pia is an 880-foot-mountain in Manoa Valley, surrounded by the Honolulu Watershed Forest Reserve. At the summit are sweeping panoramic vistas from the Koolau range to Waikiki/Diamond Head. We will proceed up Puu Pia and back for a hiking distance of 1.9 miles round trip, should take less than 1-1/2 hours to complete. This is a great beginner hike! Always prepare for rain since it is Manoa and tree roots can be slippery on the descent!

Park on Woodlawn Drive near the junction with Alani Drive. It's a curvy road with limited parking. Do not block trash cans which will be on curb for pick up.

Driving directions: Take Punahou Street which turns in to Manoa Road, then drive 0.6 miles to a road split. Take the right fork onto East Manoa Road. Continue 1.8 miles to the T-junction with Woodlawn Drive. After parking your car, wait below 3689 Alani Drive for group members.
