This event has been posted on 3 different meetup groups. So we will get more people joining this event.

Why are you taking a coach and not public transport such as train ???

The start of this hike is really far away from any train station. Buses only operate in the summer time. So taxi is the only way to get there from the train station to the location for the start of the hike. Taxi is both expensive and hard to find in those parts.
Last year We had to wait over 1 hour to get a taxi when we used public transport option for this trip. Cost of taxi added to the cost of train tickets means that coach transport will save you both time and money. This is because direct travel by coach without need for waiting 1 hour for a taxi ride makes coach travel faster and cheaper option for transport compared to public Transport.

Hike Jurassic Coast Day Trip – Adventure from London with Hiking and Packed Lunch!

Event Description:

Step into one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in the UK with a day trip to the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning cliffs, fossil-rich beaches, and breathtaking views. This is not just any ordinary day trip—this is a chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of England’s coast, from rugged cliffs to peaceful coves.

Trip Details:

Departure from London:
We’ll gather at Hammersmith Station for a relaxing coach journey to the Jurassic Coast. The drive will take approximately 3 hours, allowing you to enjoy scenic views as we travel westward through the picturesque countryside of southern England.

Hike on the Jurassic Coast:
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the dramatic cliffs of Durdle Door—an iconic limestone arch that rises out of the sea. The hike will take us along the coastline, where we’ll pass through spectacular Lulworth Cove, a tranquil, horseshoe-shaped bay surrounded by stunning chalk cliffs. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of the coastline with the turquoise sea, rolling hills, and the rich green landscape stretching out before us. This is a photographer’s paradise!

Lunch:
As we trek through this beautiful landscape, we’ll pause for a moment to enjoy a packed lunch—a great time to take in the peaceful surroundings and relax by the coast.

Exploration Time:
After the hike, we’ll have time to explore Durdle Door, which offers incredible views and a chance to stroll along the beach, taking in the rock formations that have been millions of years in the making.

Don’t forget your camera—the views here are nothing short of spectacular!

Return to London:
After a full day of hiking and sightseeing, we’ll board the coach for the return journey, aiming to arrive back in London by 8:45 PM. Traffic depending.
