El Paseo por Navacerrada durante la época de Navidad es una experiencia mágica y acogedora que combina la belleza natural de la Sierra de Guadarrama con el espíritu festivo. Este pequeño y encantador pueblo de montaña, situado en la Comunidad de Madrid, se transforma en un lugar de ensueño gracias a sus paisajes nevados y su ambiente navideño.
El centro del pueblo se llena de pequeños puestos con su mercado navideño donde se venden productos típicos de estas fechas, como adornos, artesanías, y dulces tradicionales. También encontrarás vinos calientes y chocolate con churro para entrar en calor.
Además, visitaremos El Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, también conocido como La Granja de San Ildefonso, que es otro lugar maravilloso para visitar en Navidad.
Este pequeño pueblo situado en la provincia de Segovia, a los pies de la Sierra de Guadarrama, ofrece una combinación de patrimonio histórico, paisajes nevados y una atmósfera festiva única.

A walk through Navacerrada during the Christmas season is a magical and cozy experience that combines the natural beauty of the Sierra de Guadarrama with the festive spirit. This small and charming mountain village, located in the Community of Madrid, is transformed into a dreamlike place thanks to its snowy landscapes and its Christmas atmosphere.
The center of town is full of small stalls with its Christmas market where typical products of these dates are sold, such as ornaments, handicrafts, and traditional sweets. You will also find hot wines and chocolate with churro to warm up.
In addition, we will visit El Real Sitio de San Ildefonso, also known as La Granja de San Ildefonso, which is another wonderful place to visit at Christmas.
This small town located in the province of Segovia, at the foot of the Sierra de Guadarrama, offers a combination of historical heritage, snowy landscapes and a unique festive atmosphere.### Departure place:

Nuestro próximo destino: Navacerrada (Camino de Schmidt) un lugar en La Sierra Norte de Madrid, con una de las rutas de senderismo más populares desde 1926, donde descubriremos sus montañas rocosas, hermoso bosque de pinos gigantes, praderas y unas vistas maravillosas.
A la mitad del recorrido, haremos un picnic para descansar, comer y disfrutar las vistas y empezar nuestro retorno. 😊Esta ruta es de nivel fácil/medio, de unos 13km approx.

Our next destination: Navacerrada (Schmidt’s Trail), a place in La Sierra Norte de Madrid, (northern area of madrid) with one of the most popular hiking trails since 1926, where we will discovere its rocky mountains, beautiful forest of giant pines, grasslands and atonishing views at the top.
In the middle of the tour, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the area and begin our return. 😊

🌲🎋 El Embalse de Navacerrada recibe las aguas que descienden de la Sierra de Guadarrama a través del Valle de la Barranca, donde fluye el río homónimo Navacerrada, que da nombre al municipio. Durante el paseo por el embalse, disfrutaremos de una panorámica impresionante con el valle, la Maliciosa y La Bola del Mundo destacando como hitos más importantes de esta zona.
A lo largo de la ruta, se puede apreciar una variada evolución en la presencia de especies vegetales en el entorno. En los primeros tramos, resaltan los pastos, seguidos por el robledal de Quercus Pyrenaica, intercalado con árboles de ribera como el sauce y el fresno que bordean la orilla del embalse, nuestra principal ruta.
🎅🏼 Una vez hagamos el hermoso recorrido del embalse / lago, iremos a dar un paseo por uno de los pueblo más navideños de la Comunidad de Madrid: Navacerrada, que encenderá sus luces este mismo día, dando inicio a la navidad de la sierra. 🫎❄️☃️🎄

🎄🚶The Navacerrada Reservoir receives the waters descending from the Sierra de Guadarrama through the Barranca Valley, where the Navacerrada River, which gives its name to the municipality, flows. During the walk around the reservoir, we will enjoy an impressive panoramic view with the valley, La Maliciosa, and La Bola del Mundo standing out as the most important landmarks in this area.
Along the route, you can see a varied evolution in the presence of plant species in the environment. 🌳🍂
In the first sections, the pastures stand out, followed by the oak forest of Quercus Pyrenaica, interspersed with riparian trees such as willow and ash that line the reservoir’s shore, our main route.
Once we complete the beautiful tour of the reservoir/lake, we will go for a walk through one of the most Christmas-like villages in the Community of Madrid: Navacerrada, which will light up its Christmas lights on this very day, marking the start of the holiday season in the mountains. ❄️☃️🫎☃️
