Post Thanksgiving Special! HIKINGOC Repeating Trip to CA deserts-slot canyons/Calcite Mine of Anza Borrego and Ropes/Ladders and Painted Canyons of Mecca. The bonus may be a Meditation Center and Eagle Rock on the partial of the PCT.
Schedule: Friday Nov 29 to Sunday Dec 1, 2024. Indicate when sign up if you only like to attend 1 day or 2 days.
PLEASE READ: We are gearing this trip toward experienced hikers who don't mind being flexible hiking schedule.

***We'll help to arrange lodging/carpooling if need to. Please see below for estimate cost and deposit details.
***Transportation: The drive is at least 3 hours one way from Orange County.
ADVANCE DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION:
***Plan your own lodging/transportation and only join us to hike, $40/day or $100/whole trip (non-refundable coordinating fee). Contact the host directly for more info.
***Estimate Trip Cost including: lodging, transportation, coordinating fee, but excluding meals. $420+ (double occupancy, $510+ if single occupancy)
- Advance Deposit $400 due by Oct 31 (Add 10% to deposit amount if send after due date). It is non-refundable deposit.
- The following policies apply when making a cancellation:
***After putting down deposit, it is non-refundable
***10 days prior to the trip: 100% of the total estimate trip amount is subject to forfeiture
Estimate Trip Cost: due 10 days before the trip.
Tentative Hiking Itinerary:
Day 1: Fri-Ladders/Ropes and Painted Canyons in Mecca
Day 2: Sat- Calcite Mine/Slot Canyons/Borrego Palm Canyon at Anza Borrego State Park
Day 3: Sun-Julian-Warner Springs-Meditation Center/Eagle Rock or Poway-Potato Chip Rock/Mt Woodson, etc.
***What to bring: wear hiking clothes (loose shorts/pants), swimming clothes, hiking boots or shoes, sandals, hat, sunscreen, water, snacks, food.

GOOD TO KNOW: Here are things you need to bring with:
- Sunscreen (hot during the day with the sun)
- Layer clothes as it is still cold in the early morning
- Hiking shoes, poles, hat, etc.
***To buy Hiking Gears: check out with Sports stores, REI for quality gears: shoes, clothes and camping gears or short term use gears at Target or Wal-Mart with decent price. You can see them online before going to the stores to check out.
