Castleton at Christmas

Castleton is at its prettiest at this time of year with the annual tree festival completing the Christmas card picture.
This will be a moderate circular route from Castleton to Hope, approx 9.5 miles, 550m ascent with some steep and slippy sections.
Weather permitting it’ll be Cavedale/ Mam Tor/ Lose Hill.
If the weather's grim I'll do a lower level walk with a similar milage.
We’ll finish the day by calling in to see the tree display at St Edmunds church followed by a seasonal drink in the pub 🌲
