If you haven't been to the western part of Alamance County and used the Whitsett Park Playground (the one at the end of the road), then you've been missing out! Over the past couple of years, this has become our favorite place to play despite the long drive.

The playground I'm referrring to is the one at the end of the road, past the soccer fields. (There's actually another, smaller playground near the front of the park area). Please drive all the way to the back where the road ends to find us!

If we're lucky, we'll even get to see some cows that sometimes come close to the fence in the wooded picnic area.

Another bonus is the nearby restroom facility!

Bring a picnic or some snacks and stay for a while!

Directions: Exit 138 (Gibsonville/Whitsett), then make a Right at the end of the exit ramp. Turn Right after the post office (just before the Fire Station) on Whitsett Park Rd. Go straight one mile. Turn Left into Springwood Park and go past the picnic shelters and soccer fields and all the way to the end of the road.
