What we’re about
Are you captivated by riveting stories? Like to read or write? Curious to know what happens next? If so, this group is for you.
From fiction, history or mystery. Folklore, myths and legends. Fairy tales and fantasy as well. All types of fiction - past, present, and future! If you like to read or write, probably both, help make this literary group all that it can be.
The quest of the storyteller knows no borders. It does not mean that you won't have a preference. A favorite genre or culture. That you can't be exclusive to a certain prose. You may even already be a budding expert. It simply means you're here to partake in the storyteller's journey. You are after all one yourself even if you don't know it. You may even want to contribute. Learn or grow. Bottomline, you are hungry for organized letters but not alphabet soup. You get the idea.
Please get involved in those events that tickle your fancy. You may also suggest an event or two by chat! This group is only as good as its members. Please participate.
HISTORY
Who doesn't like history? Okay, maybe some don't. Here we love it! From long ago to the not-so-distant past. The undeniable truth and the what ifs. Myths, legends, facts or fiction. Even the conflicting versions and cultural paradoxes. History teaches, or at least it should. And it's more than just dates or names in a book. It's intriguing. Especially historical fiction. Right?
MYSTERY
A good mystery is a challenge. It's perplexing. It can be anything really. The mystery of life? How about a true crime. Possibly unsolved. Mythical creatures. Stories of the unknown. What about the paranormal. What about it? Are fairy tales real? UFOs please. Who took the last donut!? I kid, kind of.
FICTION
Yes, this is a catch all. Probably some would say unfair. Too overtly broad. Well, actually no, it's just right. Why? Because arguably the best storytelling is fiction. The work of a creative imagination. Even if teetering on believable or taking cues from life. Why limit the quill to only one? Here we stick mostly with fiction unless its history. That may change.
You can like all of the above equally. Some more than the others. Just one or two. There may be overlap. Whatever. You can even like historical fictitious mysteries or be a mysterious historian liking fiction!
Join this group if you are interested in fiction, history or mystery.
