about this eventall teammates (beginner, intermediate and
advanced) welcome over the age of 18 regardless of skill or fitness ability. this is a co-ed and non-competitive experience focusing on connecting not competingclub practice
workout 💪🏽
- 17 minute dynamic warm-up/workout mixing between short endurance (run/jog) segments and body weight exercisesopen play ⚽️
46 minutes of co-ed and non-competitive open play ⚽️ we can play 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5, 6vs6, 7vs7 max but over 14 players we rotate into 3 teams (5vs5, 6vs6 or 7vs7) and 2 play while 1 team connects on the sideline. max 21 players to one field.style of play 🙏🏽
- play segments rotate by time (4 minute games) to allow everyone time on the field
- we don't count goals but we celebrate them
- field size is smaller (basketball court size) to help players connect, keep everyone in the game and help keep the ball rolling - we play with small goals (4'x 2.5') and a smaller baller (custom size 3 but weight of 5) to keep ball on ground
- 🚨 no cleats and no egos 🚫
- bring water💧and a great attitudegame rules 📋
- stay on your feet and out of the goals
- no defending in the corners and easy on the sidelines
- keep the ball on the ground. no long shots or passes
- for a goal to count the entire team must be over the half-line
- shooter shags. leave the ball behind the goal

Event Description:
The 2024/2025 rugby season begins September 10th and we want YOU! If you are interested in playing rugby, please visit our open practices Tuesday and Thursday nights inside FUN Stadium at Bayland Park!Rugby is a great way to make friends and get a sweat in! No rugby experience is required, our coaches are prepared to help you learn the game of rugby.
New players are welcome year round, but those that join us at the beginning of the year (September-October) have the most success playing and competing during the season!
Warmups start at 8pm. Please arrive a few minutes early to boot up.
To attend a rugby practice you will need:
- Water
- Cleats (soccer, football, or other) You can wear running shoes if you do not own cleats.
