Woodland Heights Christmas Lights ~6.5 miles Stude Park
Details
Rather than gargantuan immense displays, Woodland Heights has more ‘homier’ and cozier displays. Some bizarre, clever and inventive.
Parking spaces at Stude Park on Usener or in a big lot next to ball fields and portacan. Probably safer on street across from very brightly decorated house (see photo). Please see in photos exactly where to meet.
We’ll see most of the Woodland Heights and be sure to see the streets featured during their ‘Lights In the Heights’.
There are a couple convenience stores on Studewood we’ll pass to pop in for restroom or emergency Twinkies.
Good Dog is open til 10, for hot dogs, etc
Mostly all sidewalk, but as all over Houston, lots of tree roots to trip you up.
Have a little light, at least your phone light, I have had a spill stepping in a sidewalk hole.
As seen in map in photos, easy to cut short and head back any time.
Note Historic Photo ~ it's the corner of Byrne and Michaux~1987. I’m at the end of the pen holding big lunky camcorder
