**This will be a +/-15 mile hike, with an elevation gain of about +/-2,400 feet. The hike will be a basic out & back, with some side trails added on, as interest and conditions permit. It is an "Advanced" hike, not for beginners, because of distance and time, possible trail conditions and alternative routes. Dogs are allowed on this trail, but must be on leash, so please check and obey trail regulations. It is generally considered a challenging route, and takes an average of +/-8 hours to complete...**

***Route 52 to Long Hill Rd.:***
From Storyville Mountain to Horner Mountain to Shenandoah Mountain, there are multiple opportunities to explore the ridges, ravines and overlooks of this section of the New York Appalachian Trail, which includes the Taconic Section of Fahnestock State Park.

**RSVP to join, there will be a limit of 6 hikers, based on demand and/or weather conditions, as necessary. Rating: “Advanced”, for experienced hikers, +/-15 miles, moderate paced (2.0-2.5 mph) with few stops. You must stay with the group without holding us back. Take pictures for photo contest. DOGS are allowed on this trail, but must be on leash, so please check and obey trail regulations.**
