What we’re about

ALL LGBTQ(18+) lovers of TRADITIONAL, ROLE-PLAY AND PARTY BOARD/CARD GAMES welcome:)

Also suitable for SOCIALISING/chatting,but focussed on game-playing; some people prefer this(rather than immediately into direct socialising).

Some of the games ACTUALLY ENCOURAGE chat:around the games themselves and generally:)

(ALL LEVELS WELCOME , from complete beginner to advanced)

Examples of TRADITIONAL BOARD and CARD games: eg Monopoly, Cleudo, Connect 4, draughts, dominoes,Boggle,Articulate, etc etc; all card games.

There is currently a tendency towards Scrabble(and Chess); but it all depends on what games you enjoy, and BRING ( I-Steve-have Monopoly, Boggle, dominoes; and multiple Scrabble and chess sets)
.

You bring a game:it expands the choice!

HOSTED group;so host(s) settle you down in a game of choice!

Suitable for people who have just come out as lgbtq; or new to the area/our group

Want a focussed(ie chat round a game!)social meet!

We reserve two tables; you can mix and match games, depending on who wants to play what!

Group meets every FOUR x MONDAY evenings (7-10.30), at Cafe Tabac,126 Bold St(opposite bombed-out church), Liverpool L1 4JA

You must be LGBTQ; and over 18 to attend all meetings. It is a safer-space group.

{the Q in LGBTQ refers to anyone who is under the umbrella of Queer; it does not refer to people who are just STARTING to question their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, (as in Q for questioning); ie you have to be ready enough -with support!- to actually ATTEND a (in real world)meet; we will even meet you at the door, if we have the resources on the day:}
We meet in mixed(non lgbt-specific) venues; but these venues are known to be lgbt-friendly.

Chess and Scrabble sets provided; but we can always do with extra chess and Scrabble sets; please bring on the night!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

MINIMUM PURCHASE: a hot, soft or alcohol drink.

Cakes sometimes available

We have a policy of mutual respect; and everyone is treated equally regardless of gender identity, race, sexual orientation, class, HIV status, (dis)ability.

PLEASE NOTE,as this is a private group(meeting on the premises of others' venues;we have no premises of our own), anything that occurs between attendees or members is a private matter between them; and should be resolved between individuals.

We ask that members and attendees are respectful of others' sexual, emotional and physical boundaries in every way.

As this is a private group, and attendees are on a private guest-list,the Organiser reserves the right not to admit,or to remove, members, without explanation.

The Organising Team reserve the right to cancel/postpone meetings at short notice for acts of God, eg Organising Team illness, power cuts, etc

Please note, we signpost people, who want support,-with sexual orientation/gender identity/sexual health issues-to, for example, Sahir House; its not that we do not want to help; its just they have expertise in these fields☺. You are still welcome to attend our group, in parallel!:)

You can contact me on [email protected], if you have any additional questions.

I am Steve, the Organiser of all four MERSEYSIDE LGBTQ(18+) GROUPS
