Montgomery Pinetum and Pomerance Park History Hike.

Details

This brand new History Hike in Ct is among the shortest and easiest that we do. However, there much to see in the 3.5-4 easy miles. Gardens, lakes, woods, arboretum, ruins, surprises! I’ve added some pics below to give you an idea. Wear good shoes for possible slippery leaves, acorns on the downhills

Suggested donation $5.00 as Meetup has doubled the fee they charge me.

All start waitlisted wt preference to regulars.

Colonel Robert Montgomery created a fabulous estate/arboretum. Ernest Thompson Seton created another estate next door. (Pomerance Park). We will fully explore these fabulous places.

Bathrooms: One at the Meetup BUT, it’s a ten minute round trip so get there early. A second about one third into the hike.

Everyone is expected to stay wt the group and keep up. Liability waiver signature required. No guests, pets, early outs, slow pokes. If you’re on the waitlist you can’t just show up.

Let’s enjoy these very beautiful and historic places on this short but sweet event.
