Long Dock Park Walk!!!

It looks like this group has been quiet for a few years. If you are an established hiker I'd love to see you in my other group, Orange County Outdoor Singles. I already have some hikes posted there but would rather get to know you if you are not a regular hiker on a walk. Here is your opportunity!!!

We will walk Long Dock Park in Beacon to the wonderful waterfall about a mile and a half each way and back for a total of 3.5 miles I believe.

UPDATE!!! I envision us splitting into 2 groups. I walk pretty briskly when it is flat and straight. I will walk with the faster walkers to the waterfall. I envision a slower group that may just go to Denning's Point or the great walkway by the brick factory buildings. I can call someone in the slower group to turn around when the waterfall group turns around. This way we will end at the same time so we can dine together. We will dine in Beacon location TBD.

Our path is an old rail path for about half the trip, the rest is just a meandering rolling wide path. Some of it is paved, mostly not. It is mostly flat, much straight.

Meet at the park towards the train side, not the river side. When you first enter the park you can go right, or stay left. Stay left, then go to the left.
$2 Meetup fee. If you send me your cell I will return with mine.

UPDATE: Hi New Friends, My no-show policy is if you do not change your RSVP and do not show is that I will delete you from the group after 2 no-shows. PLEASE change your RSVP if you cannot make it. Attendance is important to me. Let's make this a no-no-show event!!!
