East Metro Humanist Let's-Try-To-Be-Happy Hour
Details
It's time again for our monthly Happy Hour at La Cucaracha, a friendly and highly regarded Mexican restaurant located on Dale Street and Grand Avenue in St. Paul (https://www.lacucaracharestaurante.com/)
As regular attendees will attest, our Happy Hour events include lots of talk about politics, the state of the world, movies, books, popular culture, and whatever else, accompanied by chips, salsa, and all the beer and other potables you'd care to drink. Most of us will order dinner from La Cucaracha's selection of fine Mexican food, but feel free to join us even if you're not up for that much eating. Parking is sporadically available on Grand Avenue, Dale Street, and neighborhood streets south of Grand. La Cucaracha's management says they can accommodate a group of whatever size, so feel free to bring your friends.
Still not convinced? Take a look at this article in a recent issue of The Atlantic that documented the benefits of social drinking: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2021/07/america-drinking-alone-problem/619017/.
That piece renewed my interest in beer, moderately imbibed!
