Weekly Meeting - September 22, 2024

Details

Hey everyone. I apologize for the recent break in meetings; however, we are back at it. So, this week’s meeting will be Sunday afternoon at Promenade Park, at 12:30 pm, behind the building, under the awning. This week we will discussing chapters 10 through 12 of "The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory" by Tim Alberta. Also, the album for discussion this week is "Cosmo's Factory" by CCR.

So, if you're new and considering joining us, you're more than welcome. There are typically between 6 and 8 of us at every meeting, and with new guests we usually start by exploring the concept of Humanism and what it means to each of us personally. For those unfamiliar with Humanism, we usually read through the Humanist Manifesto III to get acquainted with the ideas that are generally espoused by humanists. We also delve into our individual journeys and experiences with religion, as well as our paths leading to secular humanism. It's always a warm and open environment where we learn from each other.

And after the meeting, we may grab lunch together. It's a great opportunity to continue our conversations and get to know each other better.

So, gather your thoughts and your copy of "The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory," if you have one, and meet us at Promenade Park at 12:30 pm. We can't wait to see you all. And as always, have a wonderful day.
