Holiday FIKA for a cause: Drop in for coffee or tea with your HDG friends!

Take a break during this busy season and drop in anytime between 2 and 4 o'clock for a hot beverage, pastry, and conversation with friends in the Mesa room at Central Library in Grand Junction. In addition to socializing, we will be collecting the most needed items for the unhoused at Homeward Bound. Amber Henning of HBGV provided the list below, and I will be transferring all donations to her for by the 17th. She said the adult residents at the shelter are often overlooked in favor of the kids, and that the full size toiletries and new socks donated will be provided as holiday gifts for them.
Wish list:
--full size toiletries such as soap, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrush, lotion/hand cream, shaving cream, anti-perspirant. These can be purchased inexpensively at stores like Dollar Tree or Wal Mart.
--warm winter socks
--pillows
--diapers and baby wipes
--jars of peanut butter, preferably in plastic containers
