Welcome to Huntsville at Random! This is a new group intended mostly for hosting a wide range of social events, many of which may be on short notice or, "on a whim" you might say. That doesn't suggest there won't be any order or schedules to adhere to. It does imply that events may tend to be spontaneous and allow for an event to be posted if there's sufficient enthusiasm. That being said, most all events should be posted at least three days ahead of time, preferably five days.
Also, several people I've talked with in other groups have expressed interest in day trips; such as Lost Sea Adventure, Cheaha Park, or Cathedral Caverns. That sort of event would, of course, be planned out well in advance, especially if tickets are required to be purchased on-line beforehand.
Some of the intended types of events for this group: Hiking or shorter walks, parks and attractions, restaurants, movies, exploring new places, etc.
The goal of Huntsville at Random is simply to provide a safe place to have fun, meet people, and explore Huntsville and the surrounding areas.
