Hook Mountain South----- Rockland Lake State Park- great views

We will meet at parking area #2 (see map pin) we will start on the Long Path and hike south, when we get up to North Highland Ave we will take a sharp left, as we are hiking in a counter-clockwise loop heading to the Nyack River trail, which puts us next to the water (Hudson river) bring warm jacket and hat, as wind seems to BLOW here. we will hike along the river past Verdrietege Hook, then slightly climb back up to parking lot.

Views of the Hudson River & Tappan Zee bridge are beautiful and fantastic.

This will be a casual after TG hike, stretch the legs and walk off some of the early week feast.

Know your route and have trail navigation. You should be getting regular cardio and know your limitations.

Faster hikers are not obligated to wait for slower hikers.

Be prepared for windy cold weather.
