£1 Full Moon Walk, Allerton Bywater WF10 / LS26

A full moon evening walk of around 90 mins, starting and finishing at the pub. Pace is fairly fast so as to keep warm.

This months' moon is called Cold Moon or Long Night Moon. In this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and then nights are at their longest and darkest.

We will go round a few of the lakes at St Aidens to see the moon shimmering on the water where there is a big open sky and low light pollution.

MEETING PLACE
Outside front @ Victoria Hotel public House, Allerton Bywater. To find it, go down the side of Salon 20 on Main Street.

PARKING
Roadside parking at the pub.

FOOTWEAR
Walking boots highly recommended. It will be muddy in places.

EQUIPMENT
Please ensure you bring a torch and your £1 walk fee. Where we are heading is very dark so we can enjoy the night sky at its best.

WEATHER
I will cancel this walk in the event of rain.
