IANDS NYC is a new local group affiliated with the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS). We meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 20 W 23rd St 5th Floor from 1 to 3 PM to explore the profound and transformative experiences of near-death phenomena. Each gathering features a topic or speaker focusing on near-death experiences (NDEs) and related phenomena such as out-of-body experiences, shared death experiences, spiritually transformative events, and afterlife encounters. Whether you're a curious observer or have had a personal experience, our group offers a welcoming space for exploration, connection, and learning.

IANDS NYC welcomes Rev. Catherine Chapey!
Rev. Catherine Chapey is an Ordained InterSpiritual Minister, Certified Spiritual Counselor, Medium, Healer, and Trance Channel for "The Council of Light." She is also a Certified Hypnotist, trained in Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) by Dolores Cannon in 2014. In addition to her spiritual work, Catherine is a writer, artist, and an aspiring author.
Catherine's life has been shaped by ongoing Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs), including NDEs, OBEs, spontaneous Kundalini Awakenings, and mystical encounters with Spirit Guides, Angels, and deceased loved ones. She has also documented over 18 years of contact with UFOs, ETs, and other interdimensional beings.
Passionate about helping others, Catherine has facilitated monthly Zoom sharing groups for the past eight years: "Safe Space Sharing," "UFO ET Experiencers," and "Spiritual Experiencers." IANDS NYC welcomes Ray Catania!
Ray Catania, M.Msc., is an acclaimed author, metaphysics teacher, and certified life coach. He founded Limitless Publications, Limitless Coaching, and Scientific Spirituality for the Modern Human.
Catania has written two award-winning books in his "Awakening Series": The Atheist and The Afterlife and You Are Still Alive, Now Act Like It.As a metaphysical counselor and life coach, Ray’s deep insights and intuitive abilities have made him a sought-after practitioner of transpersonal psychotherapy. He runs a successful private practice, guiding individuals through transformative journeys.
A Near-Death Experience (NDE) survivor, Ray is also an ordained minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM). He holds certifications in Usui Reiki and meditation and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Metaphysical-Parapsychology. Ray blends his academic knowledge with the wisdom gained from studying under renowned mentors, including intuitives, shamans, and energy healers.
