BIG HOLIDAY COMEDY AND LUNCHEON not a fundraiser!

Yes, this is the BIG one you were so sorry to miss last year. Ian Harris, our very own, home grown LA area, atheist comedian is back with new material for another fabulous stand-up set for us to help celebrate the holiday season. He's planning to bring another surprise guest this year so stay tuned for more information. Last year it was john Cleese's daughter doing a set. We'll have many of our Southern California Freethinker VIPs again. Last year it would have been standing room only but we found some more chairs, thank the gods. Reserve your seat early. Please sign up on only one Meetup site since this will be posted on several.
NOTE: Thompson’s Brewing Company is easy to miss because their signs are poor. Use Google and note that it is in the very center of the shopping strip to your LEFT of the Barber Academy as you face it.
Come see your old friends and make some new ones as we break bread together, wear silly Santa hats and enjoy one of LA’s most brash and irreverent comedians integrating skepticism and critical thinking into a smart and witty topical show. Language and concepts may be too strong for your kids, but you can bring them. Kids under 15 are no cost to you.
We have the whole upstairs reserved at Thompson’s Brewing CO, so we don’t offend anyone elsewhere at the place with Ian’s special brand of atheist humor. Your beer drink tab and the tips for that will be separate, but we’ll have enough to eat and nonalcoholic drinks that you’ll waddle out. You’ll cover $35 of your food tab and IEAAH/FAR will cover the rest. This is not a fundraiser!!!!! The cost is a little over $50 each with food, rental, decorations and top-notch entertainment so if you want to pitch in, bring more. BE SAFE! Please arrange for a designated driver.
PLEASE BRING $35 or more CASH. We will welcome any donations you can make above this amount and in keeping with our inclusive Humanist values, we’ll use it to sponsor those members who can’t afford the $35. (If you can't afford the $35 bring what you can. You should still come. Really.) Payment is on the honor system so no one will know if you can't cover the $35.
We’ll have elevated pub food and you won’t be disappointed in the high quality. Vegetarians and vegans should be sure to answer the question about that when it pops up when you RSVP so we can pre-order food properly.
The dress code is Holiday smart casual (but whatever). Break out your sequins and silks and help make it more fun.

About Ian:
Ian Harris is a comedian,[1] director, and mixed martial arts trainer. He owns a Los Angeles-based MMA training center called "Fight Science", named for the unique fighting style that he created. He integrates skepticism and critical thinking into his comedy.
Comedy achievements
In the year 2001 he was on the Top 100 Comedians list of the Entertainment Business Journal,[21] and he was a semi-finalist in Comedy Central's Laugh Riots Competition. Backstage West called him Top Character Comedian in Town, and he was a finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition.
