What we’re about
Are you an illustrator? Do you sometimes miss the community of folks you had in art school? Do you wish you had more of an illustration-focused artistic community, specifically on the North side of Chicago? This may be the group for you!
Illustration Buddies offers opportunities to work alongside your creative peers and chat about projects, goals, and life. Since our founding in 2022, our aim is to bring together people who love to make art around other people.
Most often, we get together at a nearby library and work on our current projects. This is a safe space to chat, share what you're working on, and have a dedicated space to work on your projects.
This group is aimed at all who love to draw, sketch, and illustrate, including:
- avid hobbyists
- graphic novel writer/illustrator
- children's book writer/illustrator
- zine writer/illustrator
- Etsy shop owner
- anyone early in their illustration career
- anyone who would like some time and space to work with a group!
