What we’re about
This group offers weekly improv classes & performance opportunities appropriate for all levels, even those with zero experience.
-- Are you looking to improve at your public speaking?
-- Are you looking to be more spontaneous in your everyday life with friends?
-- Are you an actor or a serious improviser looking to take your craft to the next level?
-- Or are you just looking to try something new for fun?
If so, this is the group for you!
There are many different offerings each week:
-- In the weekly classes, you will learn the fundamentals of scene work (role playing) and work through various exercises designed to help make your scene work more successful. You'll be on your feet quite a bit as I'm believer that you learn and have more fun through doing rather than hearing an instructor talk. Brief individual notes will be given and tailored to your level of experience. At the end of each class, you will feel a sense of accomplishment that will leave you more energized and excited to tackle anything in life.
-- In the weekly jams, you will have an opportunity to try improv on a stage in a supportive environment.
-- Or check out the various improv shows promoted each week, in which teams of improvisers will perform sets. Besides attending classes and jams, you can also learn improv by watching others who are more experienced.
Thank you for reading and see you soon!

6:30-7:30pm Improv Jam- The jam will consist of 2 & 3 person scenes, and group scenes. All scenes will be inspired by a suggestion of a random word, announced verbally from the audience!
7:30-8:30pm Community Show

- The show will feature 3 house teams. If time permits, most weeks will also have a spot for audience members to perform as a group with veteran improvisers
- For guidelines for performing in this Community Show, please click here.
- If you are interested in joining an improv team in the future, please click here.
Cost
- $10 for everyone in attendance. This price lets you attend both events. It is also the same price if you can only attend one. To save time on the day of the event, if you can beforehand, please message the host for electronic payment details: either Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, or Cashapp. Can submit the payment later at the event if you prefer.
- To sign up, RSVP here. When you arrive, let the host know if you will be an audience member, otherwise it is assumed that you came to perform. At any time you can switch from being an audience member to a performer, and that is totally encouraged, or vice-versa, just let the host know if you prefer to sit out. If you're an audience member, please let the performers sit by the aisle to give them easier access to the stage.
Improv Jam Etiquette
- Support each other. Treat each other like poets, artists, and geniuses.
- Make things true. Don't deny.
- Make statements. Know things (rather than being clueless). Know your scene partner, rather than be strangers. Be competent.
- Don't be a jerk. Treat people well.
- Don't be racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, able-ist, or plain mean. Try not to bring mental health or substance abuse issues into scenes.
- Have fun. Be a supportive audience member as most people are new to improv. Applaud or laugh if you feel like!
