INDY (I'M NOT DEAD YET 60+) MeetUp-Mt Pleasant is a fun sociable way to network particularly if new to this area. We provide a wide range of interesting activities for men 60+ years old. our members are either retired or near retirement and come from many walks of life. Most members are relatively new to this area. Currently our NEW MEMBER dues are $20.00. Any additional dues are raised as needed. Although our lower age limit is 60 there is no upper age limit, and the group size may decrease / increase in future. We have monthly lunch meetings with many interesting speakers, as well as a number of other smaller events
Members who wish to join our INDY group must initially sign up on MeetUp.Com using their first and last name and a full facial photo so that other group members can recognize them.
Our monthly luncheons are negotiated with the Club Dining Room and currently cost $25 including tax and tip. Members pay individually for their meal when they attend and are expected to indicate on the luncheon event site whether they will attend or not so that an accurate count can be provided to the CLUB by the RSVP cut off date. Members who RSVP that they will attend and then do not show will be billed.
INDY members may not use the group for personal commercial promotion or fundraising and we don't allow topics that could be divisive such as politics and religion.
We provide members with a free re-usable name ID badge so that they can get to know other members, if a replacement is needed there is a charge.
INDY member attendance is reviewed monthly by the Organization Committee and those members who haven't attended any INDY activities for at least 3 consecutive months are removed from membership. This policy is not applied to members that maintain seasonal residence in other cities or states, or those members with healthcare /personal issues and inform the Organization Committee of either these or other extenuating situations.
If at a future time delisted members wish to rejoin, they may reapply as new members.
