We are expanding this board game group to cover card games like Magic, and Role Playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and miniature games like Warhammer, etc.
This game group now has a $5 yearly membership fee, with a 90 day trial period. Paid membership allows you to host your own games, just let one of our organizers know that you want to set something up, we'll make you an organizer too.
This group now becomes an easy way to find players for your D&D group, or for game stores to list the various game nights they may already have scheduled. They just need a paid up membership, and we'll set them up as a game coordinator. For $5 per year, you just can't beat it.
When I first came to Indy, I wanted players for my Pathfinder game. Meetup wanted me to pay $$$ a month for a group, and it just wasn't worth it. Now, with this new format to our game group, I could schedule a game and get new players for only $5 per year. I spend more than that on snacks at a single game!
So, if you are a Settlers of Catan fan, and your local pub is willing, but no one schedules a game there, now you can do it yourself - every week, for only $5 per year.
Magic the Gathering not sponsored in your area? Now you can create your own event on a regular basis for only $5 per year, you just need place to play and schedule it.
Your game store is empty on Tuesdays nights? What are you waiting for, get a staff member signed up for this group and schedule something. Players will show up!
