This discussion will be about Circe by Madeline Miller!
As the daughter of Helios, God of the Sun and mighty Titan, Circe is an outcast. After discovering her aptitude for witchcraft, Zeus banishes her to a deserted island where she hones her craft, tames beasts, and crosses paths with the most famous figures of Greek mythology.
Readers familiar with Greek myths may recognize Circe from several legends, most famously the Odyssey, where she is depicted as a witch who turns men into pigs. Through her novel, Miller seeks to challenge this narrow perspective of Circe and explore her rich history and evolving character.
I have heard wonderful things about this novel and I am excited to hear your thoughts and opinions as well!

- Start with Games: Arrive at Changsindangil by 4:00 PM to kick off the evening with fun board games. We’ll have a mix of easy-to-learn games and strategy-based options, so everyone can join in.
- BBQ Time: At 7:30 PM, we’ll move to Changsin Zip for a Thanksgiving BBQ feast. The highlight? A live BBQ grill station where you can enjoy freshly grilled pork and chicken! Don’t forget to save room for our delicious pumpkin pie dessert.
- Bring the Festive Spirit: Feel free to bring a Thanksgiving-inspired dish to share and make the evening even more special.
- Reserve Your Spot: This event requires an RSVP. Seats are limited, so book early to secure your place at the table.
