Welcome to International Writers of Barcelona (IWB) Meetup.com!
They say "Writing is a lonely job", and being a foreign writer in a Spanish- and Catalan-dominated world can be even more isolating. But it doesn't have to be!
This group is for Barcelona-based expat writers of all genres and origins, seeking to support each other in their creative process, developing their creative circle, and getting inspired to write. It doesn't matter if you're a published book writer, an underground poet, a copywriter, or maybe someone who's drafting their first novel – we are happy to have you with us.
Our meetup events include intimate panels with published English-speaking writers living in Barcelona, various writing workshops, and opportunities to discuss our writing process and share tips on publishing, self-publishing, promoting our writing, etc. Join us and find your writing tribe!

This vermut social is an invitation for the book writers based in Barcelona – any origin, any genre, traditional or self-pub alike – to come together, enjoy each other's company and talk about books, the writing process, the blocks, and the sources of inspiration...well, everything our writer's life is about, really! And – in this case – what happens once your book is OUT.
IMPORTANT: This event is for published writers only. Please sign up only if you're one (or your book is about to be released).
Feel free to bring along your books. Let's celebrate each other's works!

The organizer's fee is Eur10 and the drinks are paid separately. If you don't drink alcohol, it's no problem – the bar has other refreshments. Order what you like!

We will meet at The Backstory bookshop (perfect for us!) to chat about the books we are working on, the books we wrote, and other writing projects we have on our minds. It's all informal and fun! Bring a writing friend or two – the more the merrier.
