What we’re about

The "Intersectional Feminist Group" is a community-driven organisation dedicated to fostering a more equitable and just society for all. We believe that feminism must be inclusive of all marginalised identities and experiences, addressing the interconnected nature of oppression based on gender, race, class, sexuality, ability, and other social factors.

Our mission is to:

  1. Educate and Empower: Provide a platform for open dialogue and learning about intersectional feminism, empowering individuals to become informed advocates for social change.
  2. Build Community: Create a supportive and inclusive space for people from diverse backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and build solidarity.
  3. Advocate for Change: Work towards systemic changes that address the root causes of inequality and promote social justice.

Through regular discussions, workshops, and events, we aim to:

  1. Explore intersectionality: Examine how various forms of oppression intersect and impact individuals' lives.
  2. Challenge stereotypes: Debunk harmful stereotypes and biases that perpetuate inequality.
  3. Amplify marginalised voices: Give a platform to those whose experiences are often overlooked or silenced.
  4. Build skills: Develop leadership and advocacy skills among our members.
Join us in the fight for a more just and equitable world!

Discussions to be held in English/French, depending on the attendance!
