Hike Upper 4 Birds Trail

This is a 8.5-mile hike that heads south on Four Birds from the Newfoundland Train station. It starts out steeply with 1,500-foot climbing and two beautiful viewpoints over a large swamp. We cross back over Rt-513 and return on old wood roads and a railway siding.

From I-287 Exit 52 (Rt-23): Takt Rt-23 North for 8.75 mi to Jug Handle exit at light to Rt-23 Southbound. (Sign-Green Pond)
Cross over the Northbound lanes to the southbound lanes, drive southbound 0.15 mi to Green Pond Rd on the right. (Rt-513}Turn in and drive 0.1 mi just past the RR tracks to Large Parking on right. GPS (41.047660, -74.44430)
