A very picturesque rural circular hike in West Sussex, just 34 minute journey from London Bridge, along an old railway line, closed in the 1960s and the Sussex Way. Part of Worth Way is a Country Park, much of it has been colonised by trees such as ash and silver birch. Where chalk was used in the construction of the railway, chalk-loving plants such as Guelder Rose, Common Spotted Orchid, Twayblade and wild strawberry now flourish.

Worth Way offers a green corridor for wildlife, connecting different habitats together. Birdsong to listen out for includes the calls of the Chiffchaff and Nuthatch. At Crawley Down Pond there is even the chance of a glimpse of a kingfisher.

💪**Grade:** Moderate 12 miles, 250 meters of ascent throughout the day, with a 110 meter climb in the afternoon, around 5+1/2 hours of hiking.

* **🚶🏽‍♀️You must be able to hike at a regular 2.5 miles per hour**
* **🐶Dogs, children & under 18's not welcome**
* **💱Event bookings are none transferable or refundable, unless we have to reschedule or cancel, in which case a full refund will be available upon request**

**😓Factors outside our control,** such as train strikes, rail engineering works, train timetable changes, heavy rain, flooding, thunderstorms, ice/snow or extreme/dry heat, may force us to **alter** or **reschedule.**

🙋🏽‍♂️**Meeting point**: by the ticket office. look out for our "Invigorate" sign and Michael's orange cap.

🛑Please ensure you join the right group as there will be other Meetup hiking groups meeting at the station simultaneously.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦**Group Saver discount** 1/3rd off the price should be available on the day, when buying 3 tickets or more together. You must travel with other group saver ticket holders on both the outward and return journey.

🏃🏾**We leave for the train** no later than 09:00

**🚆We plan to catch** the 09:15 train from London Bridge which should arrive in Three Bridges. a Journey time of 09:49 a 34 min journey

🚻**Use the toilet on the train** before we get to Three Bridges Station as we will be heading straight out for our hike once we arrive at Harrietsham Station

**🚗**You are very welcome to join us at Three Bridges **Station** directly (but please let us know if you do) the hike will start as soon as we arrive.

**🕙Morning:** 6.5-mile hike in the morning,

**🍕Lunch:** at [The Red Lion pub ](https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61558943876243) in Turners Hill, If ordering food please ensure it will be quick as we will only have 40 minutes for our lunch break. If you bring your own food please do not eat it in the Inn or their garden.

**🕜Afternoon:** 7 miles hiking

**🚩Finish:** around 16:30 back at Three Bridges
