What we’re about
The Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization that encourages, educates and connects people and organizations touched by illness, pain and disabilities. We are based in Colorado, but have been reaching out around the world since 1997.
IDA creates awareness and support through our websites, pamphlets, booklets, radio and television interviews, videos, seminars, events and resources. We also host the Invisible Disabilities Community, where people can find online support at www.InvisibleDisabilitiesCommunity.org. And, of course, we are on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!
Every October, we host the Invisible Disabilities Week, which we founded in 2014! Join us online for lots of fun, awareness and new friends! Tens of thousands of individuals, groups and businesses participate from around the world! See: www.InvisibleDisabilitiesWeek.org. Also in October we host an exciting Awards Gala in Denver, where several individuals and organizations are recognized for the work they are doing for people living with a challenging condition. This is a thrilling night of inspiration, hope and understanding. It includes special guest entertainment, a delicious dinner and of course, auction items. http://AwardsGala.org. Whether you are someone living with illness and pain, you know someone, you are a business person or a medical professional, you will walk away with a new perspective and love for people living with invisible disabilities!
Thank you so much for joining us on Meetup!
