BlackBerry QNX: Solving Autonomous Challenges in Defense Vehicles and Robotics

Details

Come join us Thursday (11-14-24) at SpringHill Suites and hear:

Rich DesMarais with BlackBerry QNX (https://blackberry.qnx.com/en) present:

With autonomy advancing in defense robotics and vehicles, a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring safety, reliability, and real-time performance. Defense applications such as unmanned aerial systems (UAS), autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs), and intelligent robots require precise control, low-latency, and secure operations in complex, often unpredictable environments such as GPS-denied areas. A microkernel based RTOS is particularly well-suited for these needs, offering high determinism, scalability, fault tolerance, and rapid response times. The microkernel architecture’s modularity enhances system security and stability by isolating critical services, allowing for robust fault recovery and secure data handling.
