Come to our free, open to all, Iowa Citizens' Climate Lobby online Zoom Climate Letter-to-the-Editor Workshop & Writing Party. No experience required!

My name is Peter Rolnick. I'm a Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) volunteer, and I want to help Iowans concerned about climate write letters and guest essays for our newspapers. This is a powerful way to build the political will for Congressional action on climate. Politicians don't create political will, they respond to it!

What We'll Do:

• Go over the basics of writing an effective Letter-to-the-Editor or Guest Essay.
• Walk through the process of submitting a Letter-to-the-Editor about climate through the Citizens' Climate Lobby-Community website; they make it especially easy!
• Quickly review two climate legislation efforts that are politically feasible in the next year: Permitting Reform and Pricing Carbon Pollution.
• Brainstorm ideas for writing a Letter-to-the-Editor or Guest Essay about climate, then we will each write a letter.
• Finally, those who are willing will share what they written.
• We'll also quickly review how to join CCL and how to get into CCL-Community.
