Celebrate the Solstice!

Let's hike from Iron Mine Bay to Alyard Farm, stopping at the Cabin Point shelter for tea and festive snacks. (Bring a mug and snacks to share, we will bring a stove and an assortment of teas).

Pace 2-3

Let's plan on dropping car(s) at Alyard Farm - meet there for 7:30, be on the trail to Iron Mine Bay for 8 am. This is listed as a 10 k hike, but in actual it is a little more. Trail can be rocky and muddy. The scenery is stunning, always with a chance to see whales.

Dogs: dog friendly hike. Familiarize yourself with CRD rules. Since we will car shuttle check with others about dogs in vehicles. (My car is dirty dog friendly, and she won't be with us)

If the weather is predicted to be supremely gross, we will re-plan and/or reschedule.
**Rendezvous Location and time:**
Meet at Alyard Farm Parking at 7:30 am. We will leave car(s) at Alyard Farm - and shuffle car (s) to Iron Mine Bay- 14 km, aim to be on the trail just after 8am.
