First Day Hike at Island Lake

Join the Friends of Island Lake as we ring in the New Year with a hike on the Hickory Ridge trail. You can choose between a 5 mile and a 2.5 mile hike. Snow shoes optional (if there is enough snow).

First Day Hikes are a great way to get your year started the right way - after all, life is better outside! We hope to see you there!

This event is also posted on Facebook and is our highest attended hike of the year (not counting Lantern hikes).

Cost: free, but requires state park entry fee or passport (most likely the fees will be waived for this hike)

Please arrive on time as we will start promptly at 1:00. You may hike on your own if you arrive late.

Meet in the Kent Lake Beach Parking Lot (go straight past toll booths, first lot on left).
