Join us as we continue a series on one of my favorite books I've read about living in Italy - learning Italian, learning any language: In Other Words by Jhumpa Lahiri.

Audience: For English speakers who are learning Italian and are at the intermediate level or for Italian speakers who want to improve their English and are at the intermediate level

You do not have to purchase the book, we will share the screen while we read.

The Plan: Chapters 9 and 10

1. We will all read the chapters in Italian within smaller groups/breakout rooms.
2. We will translate the passages into English.
3. We will re-join the main room and listen to the author read the chapters in Italian followed by any discussion

About "In Other Words"

"In Other Words is at heart a love story—of a long and sometimes difficult courtship, and a passion that verges on obsession: that of a writer for another language. For Jhumpa Lahiri, that love was for Italian, which first captivated and capsized her during a trip to Florence after college.
