What we’re about
We play Dungeons & Dragons. The group is welcoming to all players, whether 50-year grognards or people interesting in joining for the first time.
We don't discriminate if you play roleplaying games that aren't D&D. We just put D&D in the title because it's better for the search algorithm than Pathfinder or Gamma World.
Schedule your games here, and share them where you otherwise share news--reddit, Facebook, Discord, or whatever. Without moderator permission, please don't share other things here, like your Kickstarter project or your Etsy page. The group works best when it's used as a community tool safe from spam.
I previously moderated the Roleplayers of Jax page, which grew under my watch from 300 members and no games (except for one recurring play-by-email game) to over 3,000 members and a very busy in-person schedule. When I stepped down, I assumed one of those thousands would take it over. If I had known it would simply vanish, I would have maintained it. I hope we'll be back up to that community size soon.
Good gaming, and may all your hits be crits!
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Into the Fire: a 1st Edition AD&D Rules as Written CampaignCounterspell Games, Jacksonville, FL
I will be running AD&D 1st edition using the rules as written. We are not using Unearthed Arcana or later rulebooks. The game is set in the Greyhawk campaign setting.
I aim to start playing February 7th at CounterSpell Games on Blanding Blvd every Wednesday as my schedule allows, starting at 6:00 PM and running close to closing time of 10 PM. On that day, we will discuss goals and the conventions associated with old school play, make characters, and do a brief introductory adventure.
Veterans and people completely new to D&D are equally welcome.
This game is a good match for you if
• You are interested in old-school D&D
• You are not afraid of character death
• You don’t need high stats
• You like exploring dungeons - Into the Fire: a 1st Edition AD&D Rules as Written CampaignCounterspell Games, Jacksonville, FL
