For the Glowing Gardens holiday event, we can explore the myriad of magical lights, illuminating the beauty of the Arboretum’s natural surroundings and gardens for an immersive holiday experience.
Here's a sneak peek at some of the unique features that will make this show an extraordinary experience:• Crystal Currents: This artistic overlook experience becomes a canvas for a shimmering masterpiece, adding an extra layer of magic to the surroundings.
• Lit Art Sculptures: Marvel at unique art sculptures brought to life inspired by the Arboretum itself. Imagine hummingbirds and bromeliads aglow!
• Ground Displays: Follow an illuminated path that mirrors a flowing stream, guiding you through the gardens.
• Hanging Stars: look up and be captivated by hanging stars designed to resemble plants in the gardens, adding a touch of whimsy that ties in seamlessly with the Arboretum's natural beauty.
CAUTION: Glowing Gardens is a nighttime walking experience through The Jacksonville Arboretum and Botanical Garden, a dimly lighted, large natural environment that is unpaved and not normally lit at night. Attendees are urged to wear proper footwear and remain attentive to the ground conditions and their surroundings at all times as they enjoy their walk through the lights of Glowing Gardens. Guests are encouraged to use flashlights (e.g., mobile phone flashlights or handheld flashlights) while experiencing Glowing Gardens for way-finding if needed.
