Everyone is always welcome to join our events. Our community is all about creating authentic in-person connections in this urban jungle.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Experience Jakarta’s commuter life at three of the most iconic train stations in the city. The vibrant modern hub Manggarai Station, the iconic Kota Station, and the vintage Tanjung Priok station that connects the city to the seaport. The excursion will conclude at the historic Red Shop (Toko Merah) at the Old Town complex with a photo review and discussion.

Your event host is a local who knows the nuts & bolts of this city, and a skilled photographer who will help you make the most of this event. Enjoy this adventure!

This trip is a photography-oriented event but open for a general audience with minimal skills in photography who want to experience the city in a new way while make new, authentic social connections.

Bring any camera you like, and take your shots at each stop and during your train ride! Post your best shots on IG tagging our community (www.intagram.com/jakarta.friends.creatives) and we will repost!

Note: This trip requires a train card to enter the station with a minimum deposit of about 15k IDR. You can buy the card directly at the station!

ABOUT THE VENUE
Today’s Manggarai Station is a modern double-deck train station that has an airport line. Kota Station in Jakarta maintains its art-deco style despite modern renovation in surrounding area. Not all stations are given a new face, and that's for a reason: Tanjung Priok Station was revived in 2009 and still represents the original vibe of Jakarta’s train station.

HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules:

• We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24 h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees and event organisers.
• Be on time! Don’t be early! The event starts at the indicated time, and we cannot accommodate latecomers. Latecomers will need to find the whole group once the tour started
• People in the waitlist cannot attend, and are encouraged to check a few hours before the event if they got a spot
• Repeated no-show (3X) without updating RSVP will be removed from the group.

WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP FEE. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Since September 2024, our community has a membership fee of 200k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to new members and first-timers, who can become members for 120k IDR/year. First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community.

Membership to both Jakarta Friends and Jakarta Creatives is offered for only 320k IDR/year. Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like for example our Give Away Birthday Celebrations with lucky draw (Sept 2024). To many events, attendees can bring a +1 for free.

To all members we guarantee to keep organizing plenty of events. You will receive a full refund if the group closes down, or if there’s no event happening in three months.
