What we’re about

Join award-winning thriller author James Dain for an engaging and playful online fiction writing workshop!

In this supportive creative space, you'll have fun exploring the craft of fiction writing through interactive exercises, lively discussions, and story prompts designed to spark your imagination. Whether you're a seasoned novelist or just starting out, James' "Playground" offers a unique opportunity to hone your skills in an energetic group setting.

Each session will focus on a different key topic for fiction writers, such as:

• Crafting Compelling Characters
• Mastering Dialogue
• Building Believable Worlds
• Plotting and Story Structure
• Developing Narrative Voice
• Writing Effective Descriptions
• Creating Tension and Conflict

But rather than dry lectures, you'll engage in playful writing "games" that bring these concepts to life. Share your work, give and receive feedback, and find inspiration from your fellow writers - all under James' experienced guidance.

The emphasis is on having fun while sharpening your fiction writing abilities. You'll leave every session re-energized and armed with new tools to elevate your stories.

We'll meet online four Wednesdays of each month from 6-7:30pm Pacific Time.
