Time Regained
'Time Regained' is an introspective journey into the musical past. In various forms, moving melodies on guitar will evoke memories. 'This concert offers a 'panoramic view' of music that still appeals to me after all these years. All music that once meant something to me, such as from artists like Neil Young and Bob Dylan, has a place in my program.' With great love for the avant-garde movement of jazz and classical music, Mark Schimmel embraces experimentation. While he leaves plenty of room for free improvisations, Mark connects catchy material from different genres in a very creative and original way.

Second Naivety
Second Naivety is a jazz trio led by pianist Joy Shechter. As the name suggests, the band investigates a question that is recognizable to almost every individual: how can someone regain naivety in their profession, after having lost their initial innocence through knowledge and experience? The music of Second Naivety is narrative in nature and is usually written under the influence of factual stories. The band is characterized by an interplay that combines soft and rough articulations with excitement and a touch of humor.
