**UPDATE (11/22):** The tobogganing reservation link will go live at noon today, but our date - Jan. 5 - will not be available until Dec. 6. Not sure why they do it that way, but maybe it's better to wait until we get closer.

**HIGHLIGHTS:** "Shooting the chutes" at Cleveland Metroparks' toboggan slides in Strongsville is a perfect way to start the new year. The two 700-foot refrigerated chutes are a real rush at speeds of up to 50mph. It is also a good way to get some exercise - 108 steps to the top! Let's meet at the Chalet at 1:00PM - I will be wearing a meetup sign. Afterward, let's take a short hike over to the Strongsville Wildlife Area - a roughly 2-mile roundtrip - and check out the winter woods. Let's hope for snow! AN OPTION: If you are not interested in the tobogganing you can always join us for hike at 2:00. Let me know in the comments if that's what you want to do.

After the hike I'd like to suggest heading 9 minutes west to the Brew Garden next to SouthPark Mall for some warmth and relaxation. I will reserve a space so please let me know in the comments if you are interested.

You can also call 440-572-9990 (Extension 0). An all-day tobogganing ticket is $15.91. The Chalet building will be open and concessions are available through a "to go" window on the outside. Restrooms will also be open. After we are done with the chutes the walk will begin at around 2:00, so let's gather on the sidewalk leading to the Chalet near the parking lot. Brew Garden is at 16555 Southpark Center, Strongsville, OH 44136. From the Chalet go 1.8 miles south on Valley Parkway to Route 82 and turn right. Go 1 mile west to Howe Road and turn left. Brew Garden is .4 miles south on the right.

**PLEASE NOTE:** Gloves or mittens that cover your fingertips are REQUIRED and they say they will be enforcing it.
