What we’re about

Are you puzzled by all the discussion on how to be saved? Have you heard about Jesus Christ but are unsure who He is or what Christianity is all about? If so, you are not alone. However, it does not have to be this way! The message of Jesus Christ is love and His desire is for you to be saved. This is a group for people interested in a series of studies about Jesus. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me."

Please join us for a series of discussions entitled "Jesus, the Way - Messages to the Seven Churches of Asia". These are low-pressure, no-obligation, virtual presentations to help you better see who Jesus is and what He is all about. Please make your plans to join us!  Meetings will be Tuesday's in April at 7:00 pm.

April 6: Class One: The Exalted Son of Man in John’s Apocalypse

-  The most detailed description of Jesus is found in chapter 1 of Revelation. This highly symbolic description allows readers to better understand the power, regality, and majesty of the exalted Son of Man. This class will discuss How Jesus is described and the importance of this description.

April 13: Class Two: The Exalted Son of Man’s Messages to the Churches in Ephesus and Smyrna

-  With the church at Ephesus losing its way and the church at Smyrna about to face intense persecution, Jesus speaks the words they need to hear. These messages resonate into the 21st century where churches still face the danger of forgetting their purpose as well as facing an increasingly secular environment that seeks to silence the righteous. This class will focus on what we can learn from the Lord’s messages to these two churches.

April 20: Class three: The Exalted Son of Man’s Messages to Pergamum, Thyatira, and Sardis

-  Tolerating false teaching is inexcusable for churches seeking to be holy as God is holy. Jesus warns the churches at Pergamum and Thyatira of this danger. Abandoning faith is also paramount to death, which is the warning He gives to the church at Smyrna. This class will focus on the need for doctrinal purity and the efforts needed to keep from letting our faith die.

April 27: Class Four: The Exalted Son of Man’s Messages to Philadelphia and Laodicea

-  The saints at Philadelphia were faithful, but about to enter the “hour of trial.” To these saints, the Lord delivers a message of encouragement to hold fast. Unlike these righteous souls in Philadelphia, the Christians in Laodicea had grown apathetic in their devotion. Jesus warned that they must recommit to zealous devotion or face His departure. Zealous service and standing firm in the time of testing will be the focus of this study.
