The best event there never was. An invitation to collaborate.

Good morning everybody.

My name is, . . . . Well my name really doesn't matter.
Let me explain. This group is not about me, and this group is not about any particular organizer. There seem to be a lot of Jewish groups where the main focus is centered around the organizer.

This group is about you, . . . the member.

Now that we have gotten out of the way who I am (and that I don't matter), . . . or at least why I am in the background and not in the fore, let's get to the issue of events.

Doing the admin on this group does give great humor and levity because any event ever posted is just not right or just not good enough. I will get many messages saying that it is in the wrong location, or the wrong time, or too expensive, or not Jewish enough, or too Jewish.

But then again . . .it's a Jewish group, so kvetching is expected and the norm. It all makes for smiles and laughter.

Here is the secret. No event will ever be perfect for you. For one reason or another . . . there will be a flaw or shortcoming or impediment. If they are surmountable . . . then come to the event. Then you can kvetch in person like normal Jews. The online kvetch is just not as effective, it ends up being called trolling.

Not every event is designed for every person to attend. There is a mix of events on the group with the idea that something will appeal to someone.

So if the event is not your cup of tea, or too far away, or not Jewish enough, or too Jewish for you, then you do not have to go!~!!!

And that will result in just the right number of people showing up.

With all of that said perhaps nothing is your cup of tea.... or at least you would like to see an event in your area on the day that you want, and on the topic or subject you wish.

With that in mind there is a solution!!!

All you have to do is send a message with an event that you would like to post and host. And then we can work to make that happen.

If you really want to get to know my name then come to an event I am leading and you will meet me personally. And then you can ask me in person about leading an event of your own.

The main idea of this event posting, as well as of this group is it's about you, and us, . . the members, . . . and not about the personality of a particular organizer.

This group is more of a giant shared collaboration.

So come and join us and collaborate in making it even better.
