What we’re about
This group is for getting the words onto the page. This is like parallel play, but parallel writing. The result is getting out far more words than you would otherwise. We meet in a coffee shop, chat a little, and then write our own projects. If you have ideas in your head and can't seem to find the time to get them onto paper, or if you just want to spend more time with a creative outlet, this is the group for you.
The central purpose of this group is to help people focus on their writing. Group members might give each other critiques or share their work if they want, though this is not the main purpose of this group. While we do talk, we are not a very interactive group because we spend most of the time getting the words out onto the page.
If you would like to get or keep your creative juices flowing, please join us. While you are likely to meet other writers in the process, we are not a networking group. Please respect that the main intention of the people at the meetups is to write.
Our Saturday meetings are casual and unstructured: some people talk, though don't be afraid to just write. ;) Come and go as you wish on Saturday.
Tuesday meetings are more structured: please respect when the facilitator indicates it is time to stop talking and start writing, and please do not talk until people are finished writing.
