Just Write Milwaukee

Rise and Write is a quick meetup for those who like to get their writing done in the early mornings.

7:00-7:15: Arrive, get settled, say hello, order coffee and a snack if you like (the croissants are highly recommended)
7:15-8:30: Write
8:30-8:45: Chit chat about writing and the usual small talk topics.

If you'd like to attend this event, please RSVP and honor your RSVP. Amaranth is a small venue with limited indoor seating. Only one large table will be reserved.

Finding your way and parking: Amaranth is right on Lisbon, somewhat hard to see, but once you do, street parking is available all along Lisbon. Amaranth opens up at 7:00am, so if you're a bit early, you may have to wait until they open their doors.

Just Write It On Saturday is a loosely structured meetup where you just show up and write. We'll talk briefly at the beginning and have a recap at the end, but mostly we'll just write.
10:00-10:15: Arrive, get settled, say hello, order coffee and a snack if you'd like
10:15-12:45: Write, chat with your neighbors if you need a break.
12:45-1:00: Chat about what we're working on, what we're excited about, what we're struggling on, what we're planning to work on next week.

Just Edit is an open critique group welcome to writers of all levels that meets during the Spring and Fall. Our Fall session will run September 21st through December 21st and we'll be meeting bi-weekly, with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend.

If you'd like to join this critique group, please either just show up to meet folks and see how our sessions are run or attend one of our other meetups and ask the organizer how to get involved.

Writers are able to submit up to 15,000 words in advance of every meeting and the expectation is that members read in advance so they can provide a thoughtful critique during the meeting.

Easy Like a Writing Morning is a super unstructured meetup for those of us who feel a bit lazy on Sunday mornings, but still want to be productive with our writing.

The host will arrive between 9:00-9:15am and begin writing. Attendees can show up at any point. There's no such thing as being too late! We'll give you a quick hello and you can join us in writing.

At 11:45am we'll break and chat, do intros if we haven't already, chat about how the writing session went and what we're working on.

This event rolls into Just Write It On Sunday, allowing for a six hour writing session for those who'd like to attend both events start to finish, but you may come and go as you please, of course.

Finding your way and parking: Anodyne is easy to find, but make sure you have the right location! It's on the corner of Bruce & 3rd, across the street from a high school and their huge athletic field. There's tons of free street parking around the block.
