"Join us for our Christmas by Candlelight and sample dishes and recipes inspired by 19th-century literature. The 2024 Christmas by Candlelight Dinner theme is A Literary Christmas Feast. The menu includes Spinach & Winter Berry Salad, 'Turkey A Sight to Behold', Plenty of Potatoes, Snapped Beans, Rolls with Cinnamon Butter, and Christmas Trifle for dessert.
Lauren Woods will prepare the meal and give guests background into the history and preparation of each dish. The period dinners are emceed by Frank Farmer Loomis, the host of the Keep Antiquing radio show on WMKV, and an instructor at the University of Cincinnati. Frank gives a PowerPoint presentation with intriguing historical information related to the topic of the dinner.
