Exploring Boggess Hole and Big Mound Key Placida

This is an exploratory event to find Boggess Hole and Big Mound Key off Catfish Bay in Placida. Use the same launch as we do when going to the beach at Boca.
10 mile paddle. We can go through the Wolverton Trail on our way out to Boggess Hole. There is no guarantee we will be able to get through but we are on an adventure.
IF you are a paddler that needs a straight forward destination, has time restraints, or doesn’t like getting lost this is NOT the paddle for you.
IF you like an adventure don’t mind backing out of tunnels or getting lost and can paddle 10+ miles this could be fun!!

There will be mangrove tunnels and open water.

We will not be going to the beach.
There may not be a place to get out of our kayaks I don’t know for sure.

The weather will be perfect for exploring a new destination.

Bring lots of water, PFD, lunch/snack , usual gear and an open mind.
