Winter is here and kayaking in San Diego is still an option because of the great weather here. Come out and enjoy the winter sunshine, fresh air, exercise and friendship with other kayakers. We will be searching for the many birds that inhabit Otay Lake.
**Optional: decorate your kayak for the Holidays and wear a Santa hat or any Holiday attire.**

Meet in the parking lot or near the boat launch on the sandy beach area. I will be there assembling my white Oru kayak.
Meet at 9:30 AM; launch at 10:00AM
Optional: lunch at a nearby restaurant after paddle
Dress warmer (jacket, knit hat, gloves, scarf, neoprene water shoes)
**There is a $6 kayak launch fee payable at a kiosk or inside concession**
***NOTE: there is NO kayak rental available for this event***
\*Kayak must be at least 12 feet long
\*Safety gear ***REQUIRED***: PFD, whistle, headlamp or light for kayak
\*Safety gear RECOMMENDED: marine radio, extra paddle

Please join us if you want to mildly stretch your capabilities, but please stay home if you would be wildly stretching them.
