My favourite way to paddle to St Helena

MORNING TEA ST HELENA

Grades 2.5 & 3 in sea kayaks. 4.5m +
Distance - 18ks approx

Wellington Point HT- 11.47 2.5m

Meet at 6.30am for 7.00am departure.
Facilities here.
Meet at end of reserve by the Kayak launch ramp.
Approx wind under 10knts for departure.
possible 12k wsw late arvo.( should be back)
We will launch at the beginning of an incoming tide, but its not to bad to St Helena.
The plan is to pick up the stronger part of the incoming tide after leaving St Helena, and being such a HT we should be able to paddle over the Sandbank that you usually walk across that connects King Island.
Will paddle the outside of East side of Green Island, up to St Helena. Will have a break here.
Stop for morning tea.
Stretch our legs and wander up to the grave site, facilities here also.
Paddle back to Green Island. Interesting beach at the top of the island.
And then return to Wellington pt.

WHAT TO BRING:

* Your PFD and all your safety equipment
* Enough drinking water for the day
*Morning Tea for St Helena/ thermos etc
* Lunch/Afternoon tea or money to buy from Wellington Point
* Hat, suncream, gloves, glasses, waterproof camera
* Whistle
* Don't forget your $2 for meetup admin fees
